MSC CRUISE SHUTTLES

For 26 years now, we have operated the airport to ship bus shuttles for Starlight Cruises, now MSC Cruises. This is an achievement that we are truly proud of.
The shuttle bus departs KSIA Durban Airport on the hour, every hour starting at 08h00 and ending at 12h00. Passengers need to be at our transport desk located at the Mugg and Bean Restaurant outside the terminal building by 11h30 at the latest. Failure to be on time will result in you missing your cruise! Mugg and Bean also offer you a free coffee or tea with every meal purchased (vouchers available at our desk)

We employ our own luggage porters at both the harbour and the airport and they will load and offload your bags on your behalf. At the harbour, we will place your luggage on ship trolleys and take them to customs for checking, and then hand them over to ship staff who will deliver them to your cabin late afternoon. This is up to a 2 hour time saver exclusive to us.

DESK PROCEDURES AT DURBAN AIRPORT

Please have all your documents ready for inspection at the CSA/MSC desk located at the Mugg and Bean. If you have not paid for your shuttle yet, you can do so at the desk. We will check your details and give you a bus pass which is for a set departure time. We will then check that you have the MSC Luggage Tag correctly placed on your bag. You then proceed to the MSC Desk and have your passports and children’s birth certificates checked. Here they will inform you if you need to go to the information counter at the harbour or whether you can simply go to check in. We have our own exclusive check in queue at the harbour. If you have a voucher for ‘fast track’ boarding then you will need to go straight to that specific check-in lane in the harbour terminal.

By travelling to the ship with us you have all the time saving features mentioned above plus a whole lot more!
The cost is R145 per person one way (R290 per person return)  and children U3 years travel free.

PRIVATE VEHICLE TRANSFERS

We offer private vehicle transfers to/from all Durban CBD and Umhlanga Hotels.

This service operates 365 days a year on a pre-booked basis.
Full payment must be made for confirmation of services.
All transfers include a meet and greet service.

Our Chauffeur Drive rates (valid to October 2019) are as follows:

• Airport to CBD/Umhlanga – Luxury vehicle – Per Way single trip
  1-2 passengers: R580 per vehicle – A Toyota Sedan or similar (limited luggage space)
  3-8 passengers: R890 per vehicle – A Toyota Quantum or similar (limited luggage space)
  9-13 passengers: R1200 per vehicle – A Toyota Quantum or similar with trailer
  14-22 passengers: R2200 per vehicle – A Mercedes Sprinter or similar with trailer
  22-50 passengers: R3800 per vehicle – A super luxury bus (no toilet)
  22-70 passengers: R4900 per vehicle – A semi-luxury bus with air conditioner, cloth seats (non reclining) and no toilet.

   

  Airport to CBD/Umhlanga – Super Luxury vehicle – Per Way single trip
  1-2 passengers: R1350 per vehicle – A Mercedes Benz C class or higher

These rates also apply for a journey from your hotel to the airport. Pick up MUST be 3 hours prior to your flight!
